Perturbed :(

The other day when I was at work, I was trying to post another blog about my 4th of July activities and the happenings at the family reunion in Bear Lake....when suddenly I was called away to do an exam. I tried to save my current post so that I could return and finish. I pushed the "save to draft button", logged of the internet, and left. Much to my dismay...yep. You guessed it. IT DIDN'T SAVE! AAAAAAARGH! Needless to say I was very perturbed; so much so that it has taken me this long to get it together and make another post. I was doing so good the other day and the post was soooo funny! I really wish you all could have read it. Alas, this is what's left. Perhaps someday soon I'll be able to duplicate the magnificantness (new word you probably won't find on dictionary.com)of the missing blog.

I love the word "perturbed" (hopefully I'm spelling it right). In fact, when I spell words wrong, I get perturbed. I thought about Googling the word to make sure I spelled it right, but in this case I'm more lazy than worried about whether or not I spelled it right. Other things that perturb me include:
-wearing my socks inside out
-walking on garage floors in bare feet
-overflowing garbage cans (I inherited this from Nat since she moved out)
-my muffin top
-when my pants get too short
-buying bathroom stuff (deordorant, toothpaste, makeup, contact solution, etc). Don't get me wrong, I like using these things, but they always run out at the same time and I end up paying a small fortune to replenish my supply.

Ok, enough with the negetating! Thanks for letting me vent...that's what blogs are for anyway, right! ;)

I'm all smiles now. The world seems right after having my latest dose of Shannanigans. I love the things that make you perturbed. Now that I have complete control over the garbage can at my house, it never overflows. I tell ya, that kind of power can be addicting. I wonder what other pet peeves I can rid myself of?

I hate to be the annoying nerd that people love to hate because of comments like my next one, but you spelled "whether" wrong. :)

To add to your list of pet peeves:
- Websites that use 32pt Times New Roman and span the entire width of your browser.
- Anyone who's last name ends in Timberlake (except bob)
- Other people's clutter (like Lydia's) in my personal spaces (like my office)
- When I fail at fulfilling my manly duties around the house. (specifically when Lydia needs to explain how something fits together or I have to manually pull the feed from the trimmer every 5 minutes)
- When Zeus pulls out the stuffing from our couch cushions or chews up something of value (like a coffee table, shoes, cell phone)
- Snake licks (pizza cutters, finger rolls - same diff)

I hope that doesn't inspire any sneaky ideas. My sources tell me you've been known to be sneaky in the past.

Keep 'em coming Shanna!

"wether" second paragraph, fourth line. :P

Whoa hey, I saw that. Natalie just posted that she couldn't find the misspelling, and so I leave a comment telling her exactly where it is, and *poof* this comment has been deleted by its author. I assume you found it? :)

The mysterious deleted post above was from me, and I deleted it while trying to edit it. You'll see why. Comment said:

per·turb (pər-tûrb')

1. To disturb greatly; make uneasy or anxious.
2. To throw into great confusion.

Thought you should know dictionary.com agrees with your spelling of perturbed. And after thrice scanning your blog, I could never find the word "whether", mispelled or not. So, Mike?

PS I heart nerds.

THEN, my next comment should have said:

What in the world?
Mike, I confess, I went through it once more and found the word WETHER and then I felt slightly embarassed so I wanted to edit my comment to include my mistake rather than posting a new comment. But it didn't work and I deleted the whole thing and that's not what I wanted either.
SIGH. I'm learning.

Natalie and Mike,
You are TRUE friends! Although mispelling words greatly perturbs me, having a blog with many mispellings perturbs me even more...henceforth I have corrected the problem and we all can breathe easy now. :)

Perturbed by people who constantly feel the need to point out others grammatical errors? Check. Oh wait...I guess I am one of those people, too. Dang.
Being farted on tops the list however. Having three boys (and Sean)in the house is a non-stop fart fest. Boys are icky....and smelly.

I hear ya on the replenishing the contact solution, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. It's expensive.

ATM fees perturb me

Long lines at grocery stores perturb me. Especially when there are aisles with no checkers.

welcome to blog land!

SHANNA. I NEED A NEW POST. Previously, I could say nothing for I would have been a hypocrite because I only made one single little tiny post in July. But now, after making several posts this month (and it's only Aug.2) I feel it is now my place to prod you along. I know you've been thinking of new posts. You told me so. MAKE IT HAPPEN, CAP'N.

PLEASE? PRETTY PLEASE?

I'm going to keep posting comments here so you notice your comment count going up dramatically and are then overwhelmed by how many of them are clamoring for a new post.

My tummy doesn't feel very good, and I think I need a dose of my Shannanigans to make if feel better. Without it, the world seems all wrong, and I am all frowns.

Shanna? Did you die?

But, um, now you are left without excuses for updating the ole blog.

Sorry.
